“A Real Queen fixes another woman’s crown, without telling anyone it was crooked” — Unknown

A strong powerful quote.
What does this quote mean to you?
To me, this signifies how we, as women, can lift each other up as we tread upwards on our own journey of success. As you move along, you fix each other’s crown instead of tearing each other down.
I will actually define what the word “Queen” signifies to me in this context. It refers to a courageous, kind and strong woman. A woman who is not threatened by other women and their success. Not only does she reach out and grab the hand that is extended to her, to propel her forward but her other hand is always extended outwards to pull whoever she can with her. Don’t be mistaken, our journey is our own. No one can fight anyone’s battles. And no one knows this better than me. When I crashed and lost everything, I had no one but myself to put my pieces together. To find my purpose in life. To re-evaluate and discover what makes my soul soar. It took years of mistakes and failures to find my true calling. My journey is unique to me just like yours is to you, no one else can live through the pain and the hardships but us.
Last week I interviewed this Lulu Seikaly, in Heart to Heart with Saima. She’s an empowering 34 year old. Lulu is a strong, courageous woman. Her dream and aspiration is to be a United States Congresswoman, running in Collin County. She believes in empowering young women, just as she herself is being mentored and guided by strong women. She’s 34 and if she’s elected she will be the youngest Congresswoman in history! She’s full of energy; her smile radiates positivity & exuberance. If elected, she will be the first Lebanese American woman from Collin County, Texas!

11 Ways to be a Queen
- A queen is centered, instead of self-centered. She’s a leader who’s compassionate, focused and kind.
- They focus on doing good for everyone instead of just focusing on themselves.
- They believe in the power of synergy – by forming alliances they believe they can accomplish more.
- Honesty is essential for everything they do. Honesty and integrity is their foundation.
- We are fierce, yet vulnerable; focused yet fun-loving! Always ready for what may come.
- Instead of being competitive, they believe in creating their own vision and staying focused on it. They believe in a group celebration when they reach the mountain top instead of solo commemoration.
- Self reflect and pin-point your own follies; your own rights and wrongs. Fix your errors.
- Neither judge yourself, nor others. We all make mistakes. Cut your losses and move forward.
- Forgive yourself for your mistakes; forgive others for their mistakes. Forgive so you can move on.
- Create a vision, then map out the plan, execute and implement.
- Stay true to yourself. Set your boundaries and don’t let anyone encroach on them.
